Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cardiology Services Coordinator to join our team at Interior Health. As a key member of our Diagnostic Cardiology department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our staff, patients, and physicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage patient registration and scheduling, ensuring accurate and timely communication with Diagnostic Cardiology staff, patients, and physicians' offices.
  • Coordinate and prepare pertinent forms and documentation for cardiac testing, ensuring seamless workflow and efficient operations.
  • Provide reception duties, including answering telephones, receiving and relaying messages, and directing visitors.
  • Complete various standard forms for registration and billing purposes, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Typing and preparing documents, including medical reports, memorandums, letters, minutes, and statistical tables.
  • Arrange meetings, book meeting rooms, and distribute agendas, minutes, and notes.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 education
  • Completion of a Medical Terminology course
  • Two years of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Completion of a Typing Test 45 wpm or greater, dated within the past 48 months, issued from a valid institution
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to keyboard at 45 wpm
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
