Job Overview:
  • Operate a heavy-duty vehicle safely while executing designated tasks on transfer routes.
  • Adhere to assigned routes throughout the shift and ensure all necessary documentation is completed post-route.
  • Work in conjunction with Route Managers to enhance route efficiencies and address any problematic accounts.
  • Relay customer inquiries or concerns to Dispatch effectively.
  • Manage overflow items or larger materials that may necessitate manual handling.
  • Maintain and clean the vehicle in accordance with company standards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience driving a garbage truck with a DZ license OR at least 2 years of experience driving a DZ truck.
  • A valid DZ or Class 3 license or higher is mandatory.
  • A valid SIN is required for employment eligibility in Canada.
  • A CDL is necessary, and applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening, physical examination, and background verification is required.
  • An acceptable driving record is essential.
