Nurse Practitioner

CN Taylor Medicine is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our primary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient-centered care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including health history and physical examinations
- Provide wellness care, health screening, and education to patients
- Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries, collaborating with physicians as needed
- Screen for, treat, and monitor chronic illnesses, consulting with physicians as required
- Provide care for episodic illnesses and monitor ongoing therapy for clients with chronic, stable illnesses
- Determine the need for health promotion and prevention strategies for patients, families, and caregivers
- Utilize evidence-based nursing strategies to assess, diagnose, order, interpret medical tests, prescribe medications, and collaborate in patient care
- Document patient information accurately and confidentially within the Electronic Medical Record and other required documentation systems
- Facilitate continuity of care by working collaboratively with healthcare teams, including specialists
- Consult with physicians in accordance with standards for physician consultation
- Maintain accurate, concise, and confidential documentation
- Advocate for patients, families, and caregivers as needed
- College of Nurses of Ontario registration in the Extended Class (NP-Adult) required
- Current certificate of competence as a Nurse Practitioner in Ontario
- Current BCLS certification
- Provides leadership in the application of nursing knowledge to the nursing team within the practice
- Baccalaureate in Nursing (BScN) required
- Masters Degree in Nursing (MScN or MN) required
- Member of RNAO with professional liability insurance required
- 2 years of experience preferred
- Fully vaccinated for Covid-19 (proof required)
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with the ability to commute or relocate to Sarnia, ON. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and be able to practice to the full scope of their licensure.
