Fire Alarm Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team at Fire Safety and Protection, LLC. As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for testing, inspecting, and servicing fire alarm systems and devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test and repair circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications.
  • Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.
  • Look for all levels of experience in fire alarm and security installation, service, and inspection.
  • Follow local and national security standards.
Requirements:
  • CFAA License
  • Prior experience with fire alarm systems, monitoring systems, emergency lighting systems, and security systems preferred.
  • Ability and desire to learn all facets of the CFAA Technician role in fire alarm and security.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, standing for prolonged periods, lifting 35 lbs, and other requirements common to a CFAA Technician.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
  • Overnight travel may be required.
  • Differentiate color coding of cables.
