Key Responsibilities- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and excess
- Hire and manage kitchen staff, including food service helpers
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
- Prepare and manage budgets and cost estimates for kitchen operations
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
- Stay up-to-date with culinary trends and menu development to ensure our offerings remain competitive
- Establish and manage work schedules to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- 1-6 months of experience in a kitchen management role
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation procedures
