About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Nurse to join our team at Shannex Incorporated, a leading provider of senior accommodations, services, and care. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform initial and regular health assessments to maintain patient quality of life.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care of all patients.
  • Ensure compliance with our Philosophy of Service and patient care plan to ensure optimal health and wellness for each patient.
  • Manage patient medication in accordance with legislative requirements.
  • Administer and record prescribed medications in accordance with facility policy.
  • Provide consultation regarding patient issues and standards of care to the interdisciplinary team.
  • Communicate with all other departmental teams to increase awareness of patient health changes to ensure effective service.
  • Ensure all completed care tasks are documented appropriately using identified technology and tools.
  • Ensure Continuing Care Assistants/PSWs are completing care in a timely manner.

About You

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual who possesses:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing and is currently registered with the Provincial Association of Registered Nurses.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and healthcare practices, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Availability to work a schedule of flexible hours and all shifts, inclusive of days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Advanced proficiency in the English language is required, proficiency in other languages considered an asset.
  • Ability to provide a CPR & Emergency First Aid Certificate, Clear Criminal Record Check, and Vulnerable Sector Screening upon hire.
  • A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care.
