About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Helper to join our team at Edge Group Ltd. as a Site Assistant. This is a permanent position that requires a strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Site Setup and Maintenance: Assist in setting up and maintaining construction sites, including erecting and dismantling scaffolding, ramps, and other equipment.
  • Material Handling: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, and level earth to fine grade specifications.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, and remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate various equipment and machinery, including bobcats, concrete vibrators, and hand tools.
  • Site Supervision: Assist in supervising and directing traffic at or near construction sites.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work, requiring manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
