About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Heavy Duty Cleaner to join our team at Alguss Maintenance Services Inc. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Industrial Cleaning: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Specialized Cleaning: Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and visually appealing environment.
  • Physical Labor: Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies to maintain a safe and organized environment.
  • Bathroom Cleaning: Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Winter Maintenance: Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to maintain a safe and accessible environment.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Physical Capabilities: Bend, crouch, and kneel to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train the right candidate.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
