About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at Low Cost Fencing & Construction Ltd. as a Construction Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our construction team with various tasks, including loading and unloading construction materials, reading blueprints, and mixing and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload construction materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by removing rubble, debris, and other obstacles.
  • Material Handling: Handle and transport construction materials, equipment, and supplies safely and efficiently.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, including housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.
  • Support for Youths: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth and provide a supportive work environment.
  • Support for Mature Workers: Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
