The Quality Assurance Systems Engineer will join the Quality Assurance division and will be responsible for developing and executing both manual and automated testing protocols to comprehensively assess the implemented ServiceNow solutions against established business and technical specifications. This position necessitates collaboration with team members to achieve release testing objectives and deliver superior quality ServiceNow solutions punctually. Strong interpersonal abilities, a client-centric mindset, and the capacity to collaborate with cross-functional teams are essential for success in this role. The Quality Assurance Systems Engineer will engage with various IT professionals, vendors, and business stakeholders to enhance our ServiceNow platform.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement automation testing and quality engineering processes utilized within the infrastructure team, ranging from initial smoke testing to final acceptance evaluations.
- Document defects and adhere to the standard defect management protocol to communicate product issues to project team members, working collaboratively to resolve them.
- Maintain a comprehensive repository of all test cases, suites, and testing artifacts related to our ServiceNow initiatives.
- Ensure that the established quality engineering processes comply with auditing standards.
- Propose modifications to existing methods and recommend alternative solutions to enhance quality and boost productivity within our Technology Solutions (ServiceNow) team.
- Expertise in ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM), Customer Service Management (CSM), and IT Operations Management (ITOM) is crucial.
- A minimum of 2 years of practical experience as a Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering Analyst performing manual testing on ServiceNow applications.
- Hands-on experience with the ServiceNow automated testing framework and/or other automated software testing frameworks.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies within the ServiceNow environment.
- Experience in both manual and automated testing of custom-developed systems.
- Familiarity with business processes and implementations within ServiceNow applications.
- General knowledge of business and IT management processes, including but not limited to ITSM and CSM practices.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Broad understanding of business and management principles.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Client-focused approach with exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and after-hours shifts as necessary.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Understanding of various Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative.
- Familiarity with client enterprise systems and experience with TSBT is advantageous.
- Understanding of IT concepts including Windows platforms, integrations, web services, and reporting.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is required.
- ServiceNow micro certifications are a plus.
