Position Overview

The Ramp Agent plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of aircraft on the ground. The responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the safety and security of the ramp area while adhering to all applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Safely directing incoming aircraft to their designated gates, preventing any potential damage or injury.
  • Efficiently unloading baggage and cargo to meet operational timelines.
  • Transporting arriving luggage to the designated claim area promptly.
  • Loading outgoing baggage and cargo in accordance with established load plans.
  • Safely dispatching aircraft, ensuring no damage occurs during the process.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the ramp area.
  • Effectively communicating with Operations, Flight Crew, and other ground staff regarding flight status and other relevant information.
  • Operating various ramp equipment, including bag tugs, belt loaders, and aircraft servicing vehicles, with a focus on safety.
  • Regularly inspecting ground equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
  • Demonstrating consistent and reliable attendance at the workplace.
  • Upholding PrimeFlight's standards for customer service and safety.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum age of 19 years.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC).
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 32 kg.
  • Ability to carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs.
  • Physical ability to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods, including working in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and in environments with significant noise from aircraft and machinery.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as the airline operates 24/7.
  • Possession of a valid Canadian driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Commitment to attend all pre-employment training sessions, with successful completion required for continued employment.
