About the RoleFlying Colours Corp - FCCN is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Operator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently producing machined parts using Mastercam and/or Fusion, setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, and maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and program CNC machines by studying work orders, drawings, and technical data.
- Enter instructions, including zero and reference points, tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches, and calculate requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample work pieces, adhering to standards.
- Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, and troubleshooting processes.
- Adhere to safety procedures and regulations by maintaining safe operations.
- Complete preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, and troubleshoot malfunctions to maintain equipment properly.
- Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and continuing needs among work shifts.
- Proactively participate in educational opportunities and update job knowledge on an ongoing basis.
- A minimum of 3-5 years' relevant CNC experience, ideally including AutoCAD, CATIA, Fusion, Solidworks, and/or Mastercam experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of an MRP system, preferably Corridor software.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
