Job Title: Construction Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Construction Carpenter to join our team at PCM-Pomeroy Construction and Maintenance Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in construction or a related field
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various environments
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
