Job Summary

At Road Riders Transport Ltd, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mountain Driving Expertise: Utilize your expertise to navigate challenging mountain routes and ensure safe transportation of goods.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Efficiently load and unload goods at designated locations, adhering to company protocols and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of your vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Communication and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and effectively communicate with central dispatch and other stakeholders.
  • Navigation and Safety: Utilize GPS and other navigation equipment to ensure efficient routing, and maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Physical Demands: Meet the physical demands of the job, including sitting for extended periods and handling loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 40 to 50 hours per week.
