Senior Manager Researcher

Mercer is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Researcher to join our global team of equity research specialists. As a key member of our research practice, you will be responsible for synthesizing Mercer's view through forward-looking research reports that articulate why we believe a manager's strategy will outperform its benchmark over a full market cycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement research strategies
  • Interact with asset managers and support investment consultants to bring global and international equity managers to clients globally
  • Provide insights and advice to clients and consultants on Canadian, global, and international investment strategies
  • Present Mercer's views on how to build effective exposures to equity structures and achieve optimal return/risk profiles
  • Mentor and support the broader equity research team
Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree in finance, economics, or other business-related areas with strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • ~7-10 years of fund research/manager due diligence experience
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with Canadian and global/international investment strategies
