Job Summary

Ayr Motor Express Inc is seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver - Long Haul to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Load and unload goods, and handle dangerous goods
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns, and provide excellent customer service
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Relay information to central dispatch, and receive and relay information to central dispatch
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in long-haul trucking
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
