Small Account Manager

As a Small Account Manager at GFL Environmental, you will play a key role in driving business growth and customer satisfaction. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and develop existing customer relationships, while also identifying new business opportunities within the City of Edmonton and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain strong customer relationships and assess customer needs to provide tailored solutions.
- Develop a deep understanding of solid waste products and pricing to effectively upsell and cross-sell to clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategic marketing plans and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide accurate price quotes and credit terms to potential customers, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure services meet their budget and needs.
- Regularly communicate with team members to discuss progress and explore new business opportunities.
- Stay informed about competitor activities and market trends.
- Drive revenue growth through service increases, resigns, and new business development.
- Support the sales team with non-revenue account data entry.
- 1-3+ years of experience in direct business-to-business sales and new business development.
- Proven track record of attracting, cultivating, and retaining accounts.
- Post-secondary education in business or a related field is preferred.
- Strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and a proven ability to succeed.
- Clean professional image and a positive team spirit.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a strong sense of teamwork.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, time management, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient use of customer database systems and CRM tools.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience in the waste, recycling, or environmental services industries is a definite asset.
