Job Title: Tutor - Secondary School Subjects

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced tutor to join our team at Luminary Nexus Markham. As a tutor, you will be responsible for providing academic support to students in secondary school subjects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach students using lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations, and field trips to promote engaging and effective learning.
  • Provide one-on-one tutoring assistance to students who require additional support.
  • Prepare, administer, and mark tests and papers to evaluate students' progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement remedial programs for students who require extra help.
  • Prepare and deliver teaching materials and outlines for courses, ensuring that they are aligned with curriculum standards.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in teaching or tutoring secondary school subjects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
