Research Scientist Biochemist

Amgen SA is seeking a highly skilled Principal Scientist to join our Discovery Protein Sciences group at our Amgen British Columbia site in Vancouver, Canada. This laboratory-based position will support the design and generation of complex biological molecules for both small and large molecule discovery programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and generate complex biological molecules for discovery programs
- Collaborate with our state-of-the-art synthetic biology Biofoundry to accelerate protein generation
- Contribute to initiatives around structural biology and immunogenicity mitigation
- Interact closely with data scientists and multidisciplinary research teams
- Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Molecular Biology, Chemical Biology, or a related field
- 1-3 years industrial or postdoctoral experience
- Strong appreciation for quantitative approaches and data science
- Commitment to diversity and equity in the workplace
- Competitive salary range: $135,000 - $160,000 CAD
