We are looking for a skilled Electromechanical Technician to support our food processing operations in Terrebonne. This role is essential in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our production systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct repairs and adjustments on machinery addressing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic challenges;
- Implement lockout procedures on equipment as required;
- Perform verification and preventive maintenance on all production equipment;
- Diagnose and analyze issues with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, providing solutions or assistance in resolution;
- Ensure operational reliability of equipment for production activities;
- Assemble new or experimental machinery and suggest enhancements;
- Compile a list of materials necessary for maintenance and improvement projects;
- Source and acquire materials needed for repairs and maintenance;
- Offer technical support to operational teams;
- Execute various tasks including welding, plumbing, and machining;
- Identify and rectify equipment malfunctions and make necessary adjustments;
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a vocational diploma or DEC in Electromechanics;
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience;
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers and programming languages;
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities;
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively;
- Experience with production equipment in the pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic sectors is advantageous;
- Proficiency in technical English is beneficial for effective communication in a diverse team environment;
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a refrigerated environment at a temperature of 4 degrees Celsius;
- Standard working hours are from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
