Position Overview:

V2Soft is seeking a dedicated Project Lead to oversee the enhancement of our press lines and robotic systems, currently managed by external vendors.

The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying and evaluating vendors and contractors capable of executing the project effectively.

An ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills and a strong background in Controls Engineering.



Work Location:
Cambridge, ON Canada (% on-site)

Overtime Expectations:
%; candidates should anticipate working at least one weekend per month, with potential for additional weekday overtime based on project demands.

Travel Requirements:

Up to %; candidates must be prepared for monthly international travel to locations such as Indiana, Kentucky, and California for hands-on project work. Travel will be expected at least after a few months in the role.



Key Responsibilities:

- Lead a multidisciplinary project team, including controls engineers, technicians, contractors, and equipment suppliers, to execute stamping equipment projects from budget formulation to production handover, ensuring adherence to project KPIs for Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost.

- Research, develop, and implement innovative safety measures, quality assurance protocols, and production technologies.

- Through training and on-the-job development, become a technical authority on stamping equipment.

- Mentor and train new engineers and co-op students on best practices in stamping equipment.

- Support and engage in Toyota's global information sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.


Essential Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or higher); an MBA is a plus.

- Experience in the Manufacturing or Stamping Industry – years required.

- Proven project management experience – years required.

- Eligibility to obtain Professional Engineer status in Ontario (PEng).

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, as well as PLC systems.

- Excellent documentation and reporting skills for effective communication with stakeholders, utilizing Microsoft tools such as Excel, PowerBI, Project, and PowerPoint.
