About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at Vin General Contracting Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
  • Layout Preparation: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Carpentry and Installation: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, as well as measure, cut, and install drywall sheets and carpeting on floors.
  • Framing and Construction: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, as well as install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
