Job Summary:

Altair Engineering is seeking a skilled Software Engineer Consultant/Expert to join their team in Kanata, ON. This is a contract position.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be part of the Network Node team and will be involved in delivering software solutions to validate the latest vehicle network technologies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Interface with development and test teams to understand feature functionality and testing requirements.
  • Develop automated test tools, libraries, and scripts and maintain automated test suite execution.
  • Develop and maintain software tools and features to assist in automated testing.
  • Triage test failures from automated test systems.
  • Contribute to team deliverables through involvement in agile scrum development sprints.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in test automation and tools development.
  • 3+ years of experience in Python development and object-oriented design.
  • Proven aptitude for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a multi-site team environment.
