This role will adapt as the CMLU progresses through program development, transitioning into a leadership position within the production team.

  • Conduct thorough reviews of technical work packages and engage in investigative analysis.
  • Assist in the planning of production, facilities, and infrastructure.
  • Analyze personnel needs and technical qualifications for production.
  • Contribute to the organizational structure planning for supervision and support teams within CMLU.
  • Collaborate with Leonardo Helicopters to develop tailored training plans and On-the-Job Training for CMLU.
  • Oversee the setup of tooling and equipment, including auditing tooling inventories, designing tooling storage solutions, and managing equipment transition strategies.
  • Support the achievement of LHUK Supplier Qualification (QRS-01) as necessary.
  • Prepare reports and correspondence, presenting information to various stakeholders as required.
  • Aid in Program Risk Management by identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with all I.M.P. departments on technical issues as needed.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of CMLU Production.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Completion of a Transport Canada Recognized Aircraft Maintenance Program or equivalent military training.
  • Familiarity with Aerospace terminology, aircraft systems, and maintenance policies is essential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong self-discipline and capability to work independently when necessary.
  • Comfortable working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Visionary thinking regarding production processes to enhance planning and efficiency.
  • Experience with the AW101/CH149 Helicopter or in an aircraft manufacturing setting is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance Procedures in accordance with AS9100 standards is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years in aircraft maintenance, overhaul, and manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity preferred.
  • Proficient in using personal computers and familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must meet eligibility criteria for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Secret Level II Security Clearance, and Transport Canada RAIC clearance.
