Position Overview

Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, the Forklift Operator (Material Handler) is responsible for various warehouse activities, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and conducting cycle counts.

Compensation: $22.75 per hour plus a $1.00 premium for night shifts

Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and cycle counting
  • Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks
  • Manage daily paperwork associated with warehouse operations, including picking sheets and bills of lading
  • Adhere to performance measurement guidelines as outlined in the contract
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Valid Forklift Operator's License is required
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred
  • Minimum of one year of relevant warehousing experience is required
  • Familiarity with automated pick and pack systems is beneficial
  • Knowledge of automated warehouse management systems (PKMS) is an asset
  • Experience using RF scanners
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Strong command of the English language is necessary
  • Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 pounds
  • Capability to stand for extended periods
  • Team-oriented mindset and ability to work in a diverse environment
  • Commitment to health and safety protocols
  • Excellent punctuality and attendance record
  • Initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
