Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision
- Set daily priorities and schedules staff to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Provide guidance and leadership to employees, promoting a respectful work environment.
- Administer human resources processes, including resolving staff issues and consulting with Labour Relations.
- Quality Control and Productivity
- Perform frequent quality checks on all aspects of the designated shift or section.
- Conduct hourly throughput checks on mechanized processes and daily observations of employee productivity for manual sorting.
- Analyze daily productivity reports to determine problems and trends, and implement best practices to improve performance.
- Administrative Tasks
- Maintain employees' time and leave to ensure accurate and timely pay.
- Produce reports and resolve related data issues.
- Education
- High School diploma or provincial equivalent (GED).
- Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience managing a team or 2 years' experience working within a unionized environment.
- Skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
This position requires working a rotating shift schedule, including Sundays from 22h00 to 06h00 and Mondays to Fridays from 23h00 to 07h00.
This position may be considered a Safety Sensitive position and has additional requirements under Canada Post's Substance Use Policy.
