Job Summary

The University of Ottawa is seeking a highly qualified Professor of Theatre to teach voice and diction techniques to students at the post-secondary level. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in theatre and a proven track record of teaching voice and movement classes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach voice and diction classes to students at the post-secondary level
  • Develop and implement curriculum for voice and movement classes
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Stay current with trends in theatre education and incorporate new techniques into teaching

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience teaching voice, diction, and/or movement at the post-secondary level
  • 5 years of recent and significant professional experience as a director, theatre artist, or performer in productions requiring a high level of physical or vocal mastery
  • Excellent command of French language, both spoken and written
