We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN)/Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a Provincial Travel Nurse. This is a unique opportunity to provide professional nursing services to patients across Manitoba, working in various clinical areas and locations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide independent nursing services to patients with complex and unpredictable health needs.
- Administer prescribed medical treatments and facilitate coordination of patient care and discharge.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Minimum one (1) year recent work experience in a clinical area such as emergency, hemodialysis, operating room, PACU, obstetrics, labor and delivery, long term care, mental health, medicine, or surgery.
- Graduate of an approved Registered Psychiatric Nursing program or approved Registered Nursing program required, or an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Education program is required.
- Active registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) or the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) and the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM) is required.
- Knowledge of College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses and Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses.
- Ability to prioritize care for an individual patient or group of patients and adapt quickly to changing situations.
- Proficient with computers, software programs, and applications such as Windows and Word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
