Job Title: Shift Supervisor

Woodfibre Management Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Supervisor to join our dynamic Operations team at the Woodfibre LNG Project in Squamish, BC.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing the Shift Team to ensure safe and efficient operations during the project's construction and operational phases. This role will involve working closely with other departments to support production targets and ensuring compliance with company HSE policies and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Shift Team to ensure safe and efficient operations during the project's construction and operational phases.
  • Work closely with other departments to support production targets and ensure compliance with company HSE policies and guidelines.
  • Develop and implement checklists and routines for plant and equipment to ensure maximum availability and safety.
  • Interface with the Technical Services Department for integrity issues and compliance checks.
  • Interface with the HSSE department for compliance and improvements.
  • Mentor and influence personnel for implementation of best practices.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas Production Facilities.
  • 4th Class Power Engineering Diploma as a minimum.
  • Previous experience in Operations in a Supervisor or Lead/Head Operator role.
  • Previous experience during project phase including Commissioning and Start-Up.
  • Previous experience working with other departments to support production targets.
  • Experienced in Leading a First Intervention Team during Emergency Responses.
  • Fully versed in Managing Safe Work with Permit to Work System.
Additional Requirements:
  • Motivated person with a mentoring and coaching approach.
  • Energetic in pursuit of continuous improvement processes.
  • Experience working with large multi-disciplinary teams, contractors in a multicultural environment is an asset.
  • Communication/interpersonal skills – to be able to interact with front line workers through to management.
  • Competent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Motivated and willing to take ownership of tasks.
  • Ability to work well under pressure handling tasks, targets and changing priorities within tight time frames.
  • Shares knowledge readily and encourages personal development.
  • Expertise with a variety of computer programs (e.g. MS Office).
  • A valid driver's license (with abstract) and passport.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
