Job Summary:

The Personal Support Worker/Guest Attendant is responsible for providing personalized care and assistance to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. This includes answering call bells, providing transportation, completing laundry and housekeeping duties, and practicing safe food handling techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer resident call bells and door alarms promptly and provide courteous service.
  • Complete all aspects of resident care as outlined in the plan of care and care assignment.
  • Transport residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office, and dining room as required.
  • Complete laundry and housekeeping duties as outlined by assignments.
  • Deal with residents, residents' families, and report any concerns/complaints to the supervisor.
  • Practice safe food handling techniques throughout all aspects of food preparation and service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of six months of experience in a similar role.
  • Current First Aid/CPR training.
  • Excellent command of the verbal and written English language skills.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate is preferred.
