Responsibilities:

We're seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager to join our team in Maple Creek, SK. As a key member of our store leadership team, you'll be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for shoppers, providing super-friendly service, and leading the team to achieve sales goals.

  • Open and close the store, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation
  • Supervise the store and lead the team in the absence of the store manager, making key decisions to drive sales and customer satisfaction
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly
  • Order, receive, and stock merchandise, maintaining a well-organized and visually appealing store
  • Set up windows and in-store displays, creating an engaging shopping experience
  • Complete timely cycle counts, ensuring accurate inventory levels
  • Process product returns, price changes, and mark downs, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Recruit, train, and schedule associates and keyholders, building a strong and motivated team
  • Submit reports and payroll to Home Office, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
  • Report loss prevention, health and safety, and damages incidents, maintaining a safe and secure store environment
  • Maintain and delegate daily tour book entries and store tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation
  • Make bank deposits, handling cash and credit transactions
  • Attend to daily paperwork and emails, staying organized and on top of administrative tasks

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience:

We're looking for a candidate with:

  • General retail experience for 2-3 years, with a proven track record of success
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on creating a positive shopping experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
  • Effective organizational and time management skills, with a focus on meeting sales goals and customer expectations
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends, with a flexible schedule
