Our drivers operate in various locations, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods.
Responsibilities- Plan and modify routes using advanced navigation tools to enhance fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.
- Provide exceptional customer service while on the road.
- Collaborate with a partner in a two-person driving team or convoy.
- Handle lighter, specialized trucks for various transport needs.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently.
- Drive straight or articulated trucks to deliver materials and goods.
- Conduct vehicle inspections, including tires, lights, and brakes, to ensure safety.
- Manage payments for goods transported.
- Perform necessary brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
- Execute preventive maintenance on vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with central dispatch.
- Maintain accurate records of cargo, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel usage.
- Ensure the safety and security of cargo through proper tarping techniques.
- Familiarity with bill of lading and driver logbooks.
- Ability to complete inspection reports and trip reports.
- Willingness to travel across borders and for extended periods.
- Availability for overnight travel.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle heavy loads.
- Capability to manage a large workload and work overtime as needed.
- Physically demanding tasks and repetitive activities.
