Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide strategic direction and vision for the organization
    • Lead and manage a team of senior staff and middle managers
    • Develop and implement organizational policies and programs
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions
    • Coordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments
    • Authorize and organize the allocation of resources to implement organizational policies and programs
  • Representation and Communication
    • Represent the organization in negotiations and other official functions
    • Delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization
    • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and industry partners
  • Performance Management
    • Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs
    • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the organization and its staff
    • Make decisions on personnel matters, including hiring, promotions, and terminations
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, public administration, or a related field
  • Experience
    • 5 years or more of experience in a senior management role, preferably in a health, education, social and community services and membership organizations context
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and management skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
