We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Automotive Technician to join our team at Canadian Tire Kanata (Store 457). As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and servicing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and components of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Vehicle Inspection and Repair: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify and diagnose issues, and perform repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by explaining procedures and repairs directly to customers, and ensuring that they are satisfied with the work performed.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Automotive Service Advisor, Automotive Service Manager, Tower Operator, and fellow coworkers to promote a customer-first environment and achieve common goals.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques in the automotive industry, and maintain and keep company and personally-owned equipment and tools in good repair.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform road tests using safe driving standards, provide written quotations for necessary additional work, and notify the Service Advisor and customer of additional maintenance work required.
- Valid Mechanic's License: Possess a valid mechanic's license and a valid driver's license in the province of employment.
- Professional Communication: Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to provide professional customer service and employee support.
- Teamwork and Adaptability: Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintain composure, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Possess strong organizational and time management skills, and be able to complete tasks according to instructions and demonstrate responsibility for outcomes.
