We are seeking a skilled Roofing Technician to join our team at 6414796 Canada Inc. as a Shingler. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and repairing roofing systems, including built-up roofing systems, asphalt shingles, and metal roofs.
Key Responsibilities- Install and repair roofing systems, including built-up roofing systems, asphalt shingles, and metal roofs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and repair.
- Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms to ensure safe access to roofs.
- Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level.
- Install and repair sheet metal flashings to ensure a watertight seal.
- Work at heights and in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure a smooth and efficient installation process.
- Valid driver's license.
- Physically demanding work environment, requiring frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Dependability, reliability, and flexibility are essential for this role.
- Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and work at heights.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying weather conditions. The work will be physically demanding, requiring frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads. The candidate must be able to work at heights and in extreme temperatures.
