Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bilingual Credit Analyst to join our growing team in Montreal. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing credit-related operations, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining compliance with internal controls and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with sales, customer service, inventory, and billing departments to manage customer transactions, including invoice processing, verification, sending, and recording.
- Process bank deposits into the computer system, handling credit card payments and managing accounts receivable.
- Manage collections efforts as needed, ensuring timely payments from customers.
- Prepare and distribute monthly customer statements accurately and efficiently.
- Determine and monitor customer credit limits and payment terms in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain comprehensive customer records and documentation for easy access and reference.
- Provide support to advisors as required, assisting with inquiries and resolving customer issues.
- Follow up with customers to ensure timely payments and address any discrepancies promptly.
- Handle all customer account transactions and inter-company accounting entries meticulously.
- Open new accounts, verify credit reports, and establish appropriate credit limits for new customers.
- Respond to both internal and external inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain a detailed list of all customer account disputes and ensure proper documentation.
- Document daily collection calls and ensure customer compliance with agreed-upon terms.
- Manage contract terminations effectively, maintaining clear email correspondence throughout the process.
Qualifications
- Possess an Accounting Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Have 2-5 years of experience in a similar credit analyst role.
- Credit management training is highly desirable.
- General accounting knowledge is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Excel, Windows environment, and complex accounting systems is essential.
- Fluency in both French and English is mandatory.
- Demonstrate autonomy, initiative, analytical thinking, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Be a strong team player with excellent customer service orientation.
