About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team at KNAAR RESTAURANTS CORP. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our dining areas and kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware to the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Load and unload dishwashers, ensuring that all items are properly cleaned and sanitized.
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, and ensure that all dining areas are tidy and well-maintained.
  • Carry and replace linen, and ensure that all kitchen areas are well-stocked with clean linens.
  • Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, and assist with their immediate settlement needs.
  • Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees, and facilitate access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster, and support their integration into our team.
  • Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition, and offer mentorship programs that pair them with experienced employees.
  • Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment, and offer on-the-job training tailored to youth.
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth, and provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports Veterans, and offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Veterans.
  • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans, and offer flexible onboarding options to allow Veterans to gradually adapt to the civilian workplace.
  • Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people, and offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
  • Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports mature workers, and apply hiring policies that discourage age discrimination.
  • Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers, and offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for mature workers.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
