Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced business reporter to join our team at Globe Advisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering in-depth coverage of investment industry news and trends, securities regulation, financial markets, exchange-traded funds, and mutual funds. This role requires a strong understanding of financial markets and a deep knowledge of Canada's financial advisor community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor news and trends in the financial markets and wealth management sector
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry sources
  • Write in-depth stories that separate Globe Advisor from the competition
  • Collaborate with the Globe Advisor editor and assistant editor to produce industry-leading coverage

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of newsroom or other journalism experience
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and securities regulation
  • Excellent writing and reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
