Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Strategic Planning: Develop and implement laboratory strategic plans, goals, and objectives in collaboration with senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including staff management, budgeting, and quality assurance.
- Staff Development and Training: Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to laboratory staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure that laboratory services meet or exceed regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Education: Completion of an accredited medical laboratory technology diploma program or equivalent education and experience.
- Experience: Minimum of six years supervisory experience in a laboratory setting, with a strong background in leadership, strategic planning, and operational management.
- Skills and Qualities: Strong strategic leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to quality and patient safety.
