Job Title: Millwright Helper

We are seeking a skilled Millwright Helper to join our team at The Bucket Shop Inc. as a key member of our maintenance team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will assist our millwrights in performing routine maintenance, repairs, and installations of machinery and equipment. This is a physically demanding role that requires a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist millwrights in performing routine maintenance, repairs, and installations of machinery and equipment.
  • Move tools, equipment, and other materials as required.
  • Hold stakes during surveying activities and signal safety procedures to other workers and the general public.
  • Help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas.
  • Repair or replace defective machinery parts.
  • Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up.
  • Install machinery and equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
