Job Title: Chief Executive Officer

At the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead our organization in its mission to ensure financial safety, fairness, and choice for Ontarians.

Job Summary:

The Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the organization, ensuring the effective implementation of our regulatory framework, and fostering a culture of excellence, fairness, and respect.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the organization, aligning with our mission, vision, and values.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Executive Leadership Team, ensuring the effective management of the organization's affairs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, government officials, and industry partners.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of our regulatory framework, ensuring the protection of consumers and the stability of the financial system.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, fairness, and respect within the organization, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in finance, business administration, law, public policy, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience at an executive leadership level in the financial services sector or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in strategic and operational leadership, regulatory expertise, and financial services management.
  • Exceptional political acuity, conflict management, and crisis communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, staff, and the Board.
