Position: Security Systems Installation Specialist

Company Overview:

Role Overview:
The Security Systems Installation Specialist will be tasked with the installation and technical support of various security components, including:
  • Video surveillance systems and IP cameras
  • Access control systems

This role primarily involves work within a designated service area, with opportunities for travel across the country for special projects.


Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to:
  • Execute the installation of network and fiber optic cabling along with security components
  • Oversee small to medium-sized projects, with potential for larger project management responsibilities
  • Maintain the company vehicle and manage inventory effectively
  • Complete all necessary administrative duties, including time tracking and inventory oversight

Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications include:
  • CCQ-Compagnon card, ideally in trade 220 Electrician or 222 Security System Installer (CCQ-Apprentice candidates will be considered)
  • Bureau de la Sécurité Privée card is advantageous
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Physical capability to climb ladders and lift heavy equipment
  • Willingness to work overtime and participate in on-call rotations

Experience:
Candidates should possess:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial security system installation and repair
  • Bilingual communication skills
  • Ability to pass all required security clearances
  • Willingness to travel within the service area, including occasional overnight stays
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office Suite
  • Knowledge of security systems, access control, CCTV, and related software
  • Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics
  • Strong teamwork skills and collaboration with sales and project management teams
  • Commitment to meeting project timelines and deliverables
  • Availability for standby and overtime as needed

Certifications:
Relevant product certifications will be considered an asset.
