Fraser Health Authority is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing speech language pathology services to patients in accordance with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC (CSHHPBC) standards of practice.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' communication and swallowing abilities, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' communication and swallowing needs, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication.
- Evaluate and document patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices in speech language pathology.
- Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare professionals on communication and swallowing disorders, promoting health literacy and empowerment.
- Current registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC (CSHHPBC).
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field.
- Experience working with patients with communication and swallowing disorders, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations and healthcare teams.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
