Software Project Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Project Manager to lead our product development team at Arjo. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and integration of software systems for our patient lifts and mobility aids.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Software Development: Oversee the development and integration of software systems for our patient lifts and mobility aids, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and our Product Development Process (PDP).
- Plan and Coordinate: Plan the software development stages and collaborate with our CP Gestion team to ensure overall project planning and coordination.
- Technical Supervision: Supervise the technical work of colleagues on projects under your responsibility, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Design Requirements: Develop and approve detailed design requirements, including user cases and software requirements.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop unit tests and automated system tests, review and approve pull requests, and ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Technical Solutions: Translate user needs and desired product functionalities into technical solutions, finding innovative and efficient solutions that meet our design requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks, providing risk analysis information and ensuring that design mitigation measures are integrated.
- Documentation and Communication: Elaborate, revise, and approve documentation related to research and development projects, including risk analyses, and maintain liaison with other departments for the introduction of new products.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and participate in continuous improvement projects, ensuring that our software development processes are optimized and efficient.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: University degree in software engineering or computer science combined with 10+ years' experience in product development.
- Language Skills: Fluency in French and English (5/5), with frequent communication with other R&D sites to share best practices.
- Leadership and Skills: Strong leadership, rigor, creativity, and autonomy, with mastery of several specific engineering skills, including software architectures, embedded programming, and communication protocols.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to contribute to several projects simultaneously, with financial acumen, holistic understanding of the business, and strategic skills.
- Training and Support: Ability to train and support team members, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development.
