- Delegate and prioritize workload for produce staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Effectively merchandise and promote produce products to drive sales growth.
- Recommend sales goals and strategies to improve produce sales and customer satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activities to ensure our produce department remains competitive.
- Ensure accurate and efficient receiving, storing, and handling of produce products.
- Maintain a clean and organized produce department to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Ensure accurate pricing and signage for produce products.
- Take ownership of the produce department in the absence of the Franchisee, including key carrying and alarm responsibilities.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of management experience, preferably in a produce department.
- 1-3 years of experience leading a produce team.
- Experience working in meat, deli, and bakery is an asset.
- Demonstrated understanding of critical success factors for the NOFRILLS concept as a discount food store focusing on low price image.
- Demonstrated understanding of the produce department's impact on store performance.
