Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director of Service to join our Senior Leadership Team. This key role will be responsible for driving business growth, leading business development initiatives, and ensuring consistency and efficiency across our Service departments. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, with a proven track record of success in managing service-based businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead business development initiatives and develop positive, long-lasting relationships with customers
  • Ensure sales targets are met and exceeded to meet overall company growth objectives
  • Provide leadership, development, and coaching to Service Managers
  • Manage customer service and accounts receivable escalations as needed
  • Maintain high-quality service delivery in an efficient, productive, and profitable manner
  • Ensure consistency between locations in terms of service delivery and management
  • Manage the company fleet
  • Analyze service productivity and recommend changes to improve customer service and profitability
  • Maintain open and positive communication with employees, departments, customers, and vendors
  • Fully support and promote Mazzei Electric's core values of Safety, Innovation, Relationships, and Trust
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and recommend policy changes as needed
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in managing a service-based business operating within a multi-branch environment
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in business development and demonstrated ability to facilitate business growth
  • Ability to travel frequently between locations across British Columbia
  • Experience in managing a trades-based service business and service technicians an asset
  • Strong financial acumen, including understanding of billable hours, margins, expenses, and labour costs
  • Strong computer skills, including the use of MS Office – Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience using accounting or ERP software
  • Excellent written and oral communication/organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work
  • Valid driver's license and clear abstract
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $80,000 to $100,000 per year, plus an annual bonus based on company targets. We also provide an extensive health and dental benefit plan, vehicle allowance or provided company vehicle, RRSP matching, paid training and development, recognition programs, fun staff events, opportunities for advancement, and a safe and inclusive work environment.
