Job Summary

Sparkle Freight System Inc is seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Logistics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining our fleet of trucks, ensuring timely delivery of goods and materials to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Operations: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Logistics Coordination: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with our logistics team.
  • Cargo Handling: Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo during transportation.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform tasks such as paying and receiving payments for goods, performing brake adjustments, and performing emergency roadside repairs.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A) and any other required certifications.
  • Experience: Experience as a truck driver is an asset, but not required.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, with varying locations and tasks.
  • Physical Demands: Sit for extended periods, with attention to detail and ability to lift and move objects as required.
