Job Summary

Ask Transportation Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution

Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, utilizing computer equipment, GPS systems, and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

Customer Service

Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods and materials.

Vehicle Maintenance

Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Documentation and Record-Keeping

Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections and maintenance.

Communication

Effectively communicate with central dispatch and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and execution of transportation operations.

Requirements
  • Driver's License

A valid Class 1 or A driver's license is required.

Experience

At least 2 years of experience in heavy haulage or a related field is preferred.

Education

A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.

Language

English language proficiency is required.

Working Conditions
  • Work Environment

Willingness to relocate for this position is required.
