Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Tailings Team in a Fly In, Fly Out position. As a Dozer Operator, you will play a crucial role in performing groundwork within the tailings area of our mine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a Dozer in a tailings cell
  • Carry out groundwork in the tailings area of the mine
  • Operate assigned heavy equipment safely and efficiently
  • Understand and adhere to all policies, procedures, and standards
  • Participate in all safety and culture-strengthening programs
  • Train on new equipment when requested

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with 3-year driver's abstract required
  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or Basic Safety Orientation (BSO)
  • A minimum of 2000 hours of cell/pond experience operating a D8+ is required
  • Open pit mining experience is an asset
  • You will be responsive to customer needs
  • High school diploma and post-secondary degree an asset
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required
  • Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including heavy pulling, pushing, and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.
