  • Plan and execute construction projects, ensuring that they are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
  • Collaborate with contractors and other stakeholders to optimize project delivery and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement effective construction strategies, taking into account the needs of the project and the requirements of the client.
  • Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring that they are within budget and that any variances are identified and addressed promptly.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, ensuring that they are aware of project requirements and are working towards common goals.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues, ensuring that projects are delivered safely and without incident.
  • Develop and implement effective quality control processes, ensuring that all construction activities are carried out to the required standards.
  • Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in underground mining construction, with a strong background in structural engineering and construction management.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex construction projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to deliver exceptional results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards, including health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective quality control processes, ensuring that all construction activities are carried out to the required standards.
